Ingredients:
Rice - 1 cup
Chana dal - 1/4 cup
Garlic pods,remove the skin - 3/4cup
Green chillies,slit - 3
Salt to taste
Water as needed
Seasoning :
Urad dal -1tsp
Chana dal -1tsp
Cumin seeds -1tsp
Dry chilli -1
Mustard seeds -1tsp
oil
Method:
1. Soak rice and chana dal for half an hour.
2. In a oan heat oil
3. Add seasoning and green chillies and fry well.
4. Add chana dal and water . Cook on medium heat till dal half cooked
5. Add garlic pods fry for a couple of minutes.
6. Add 2 cups of water and boil
7. Once the water starts boiling add soaked and drained rice, add salt and close the lid and cook on medium flame .let it cook until the water is evaporated.
8. Serve hot with chutney
